It is also a poetry written under conditions of dispersal: many of its contributors now live in Britain, Canada, Australia, or elsewhere, and the question of what it means to write Hong Kong from an elsewhere is itself a reparative and unresolved problem. What becomes of this poetry&#x2019;s communal function when the community is scattered? Can literature keep a city whole when the city itself is being systematically remade? And what is the relationship between the reparation that poetry enacts on the page and the reparation that remains, stubbornly, unaccomplished: political, material, historical?</description></oembed>
