At the 20th annual conference of the German Society for General and Comparative Literary Studies, Prof Dr Christiane Solte-Gresser, co-director of the Käte Hamburger Centre CURE, was re-elected as chair.
In her new term, she plans to continue promoting the internationalisation of the field, place particular emphasis on supporting early career comparatists, and strengthen approaches in literary and cultural studies that respond to today’s complex sociopolitical challenges and transformations. The new Executive Committee has already launched a forum for young scholars – Forum Junge Komparatistik – and established a working group on digital comparative studies.
