PROGRAMME
On 28 January 2026, CURE director Christiane Solte-Gresser will deliver a keynote lecture entitled “Reparative Narration: How the Story Continues” at the comparative literature workshop “Freistätte 8: Reparative Reading”, held at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and organised by CURE alumna Judith Kasper and Anna Iakovets.
The workshop will include an in-depth engagement with Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick’s 1997 essay “Paranoid Reading and Reparative Reading, or, You’re So Paranoid, You Probably Think This Introduction is About You” – reprinted in Touching Feeling: Affect, Pedagogy, Performativity (2003) – as well as presentations and discussions of research that broadly positions itself within (post-)critical approaches, critically reflects on reparation, and/or calls on philological disciplines to commit to an ethics of reparation.
