Focussing on the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its specific context, the conference explores how literature in all its forms (prose, poetry, and theatre) can help people come to terms with experiences of violence. CURE Director Christiane Solte-Gresser will give a lecture on the topic “Les racines du mal ou l’histoire de la violence au Congo du point de vue du fou chez Pie Tshibanda, Ahmadou Kourouma et In Koli Jean Bofane”. The academic programme is complemented by readings and discussions held as part of a Congolese Literary Festival, integrated into the conference programme.
