PROGRAMME
On 1 and 2 October, the colloquium “Poetics of Departure: Writing Beginnings and Ways Out” will be held in Paris. It is jointly organised by CURE programme director Hannah Steurer and Anne-Sophie Donnarieix. The conference explores the diversity of practices and literary representations of departure, including in contexts such as flight and exile. Hannah Steurer will present a paper entitled “Faire ses valises: Objets du départ, objets en départ” (Packing one’s bags: objects of departure, objects on the move). CURE programme director Julien Jeusette, as well as former fellows Elara Bertho and Judith Kasper, will also contribute papers to the conference.
The conference is funded by Saarland University’s Internationalisation Fund and is being held with the support of the joint research unit THALIM (CNRS/Sorbonne Nouvelle; cooperation partner: Sarga Moussa, director of THALIM).
